- It is a test required by the government of Ontario.

To obtain the Smart Servecertification, individuals in Ontario must be 18 years or older. This credential is essential for those serving alcohol in the province. Furthermore, it is regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, located at 90 Sheppard Avenue East, Suite 200, Toronto, ON.
