Upsala is a city in Morrison County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 427 at the 2010 census. It was named after Uppsala, Sweden by Swedish settlers in the 19th century.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.2 square miles (8.3 km), all of it land.
Minnesota State Highway 238 serves as one of the main routes in the community.
As of the census of 2000, there were 424 people, 188 households, and 103 families residing in the city. The population density was 130.6 people per square mile (50.4/km²). There were 196 housing units at an average density of 60.4 per square mile (23.3/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 99.06% White, 0.47% Asian, and 0.47% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.94% of the population.
