Trent is a town in Moody County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 232 at the 2010 census.
Trent is located at 43°54′25″N 96°39′17″W / 43.90694°N 96.65472°W / 43.90694; -96.65472 (43.906818, -96.654698), along the Big Sioux River.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.0 square mile (2.6 km), all of it land.
